RBs – Eddie Lacy & James Starks

While the offense as a whole was great last week, the running game still was unable to get going. Eddie Lacy got his highest number of carries for the season (17), but his yardage did not match (48). Starks didn’t even see the ball and had one snap appearance on the game. Accordingly to Mike McCarthy, this is going to change.

There’s no way that Starks won’t see more opportunities, and if Lacy continues to be unproductive throughout the next few weeks those numbers can expect to rise dramatically. As of now we aren’t there yet however, so don’t completely hop off the Lacy bandwagon yet (if anyone is still there by now). He did manage a score last week, and the Bears did tend to load up against the run last weekend, which may have a large hand in his end-game stats.

For right now, Lacy has not proven himself trustworthy. If you picked him in your draft, you probably have no choice but to hope he does better from here on out. As for Starks, it is too soon to give up on Lacy as the top RB in GB, but keep your eye on him if Lacy continues to falter; he could be a potential waiver-wire steal in the coming weeks.

Predictions: (Lacy) 60 yards, 1 TD; (Starks) 40 yards
Verdicts: (Lacy) Start Only If Necessary; (Starks) Do Not Start — Yet
