TEs – Andrew Quarless, Richard Rodgers

Until he shows that he can impress the coaches enough for snaps on offense, I’m not going to include Brandon Bostick. He’s obviously not showing the coaches anything that would make them comfortable with putting him out there yet, so there’s no reason to keep bringing him into the conversation until he does.

Really though, this whole position group hasn’t given much for fantasy players to get excited about. One of them was able to make a significant play when it mattered last week though.

In all the excitement of the fake-spike, people may forget that it was a pass to Quarless on the next play that actually put the Packers ahead. Is it a sign that maybe he is going to be more of a focal point going forward? Not on its own, no. But he has been elevated to #1 on the TE depth chart, which should put him on the field more often. That, plus the fact that Rodgers is obviously very comfortable throwing to him, could see an uptick in his production.

As for Richard Rodgers, he hasn’t shown enough blocking talent to be a reliable option out there. The fact that his dad is on the Panthers as a coach has been a circulating story, which may make people think he’ll be inclined to do something. I see that as just overblown speculation, especially considering he has done nothing as of yet that would point to a breakout of any level.

Predictions: 40 yards, TD (Quarless)
Verdicts: Bye-week starter (Quarless); Do Not Start (Rodgers)
