Good news! Being attached to an offense that puts up points all the time gives Crosby a decent floor of value that you can bank on every week. For four straight weeks, he has managed 6 fantasy points or better in each game Green Bay has played (10, 6, 10, and 8 to be exact).
Bad news … he’s been near or on that floor a lot the past few weeks, with the Packers scoring mostly touchdowns and not leaving him many opportunities for field goals.
In those same four weeks, he has only four total field goals.
As much as it would be nice to say there is a truly better option out there for a big game, there really isn’t. It’s all a crapshoot on who actually gets a decent number of attempts on a week-to-week basis, and picking a player attached to a top offense – one who is accurate like Crosby has proven to be for the last few seasons – is your best bet.
From this week, you can expect a bunch more PATs to give him a good base for points, while he should see a couple of field goal attempts come his way as well. All in all, it should be a good week to have him on your team.
Prediction: 2 FGs ( 2 30+ yards), 5 PATs
