As we take a trip down memory lane of the rivalry between the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers today, we describe a game from 1985 might not be the game or the outcome many fans would have in mind …

But to me, this Oct. 21, 1985, game played at Lambeau Field  just about perfectly sums up this rivalry.

Josh Sitton said earlier in the week that the Detroit Lions are currently the Packers’ biggest rivalry.

Though the Lions are atop the NFC North, I have to strongly disagree with him. It always has been and probably always will be ‘Da Bears’.

1985 was a great year for the Chicago Bears.

It was quite possibly the greatest season the franchise has ever enjoyed. Many NFL experts consider the ’85 Bears one of the greatest teams of all-time and they sure acted like it.
