Disclaimer: For any fantasy scoring numbers, I will be using those generated by Yahoo! fantasy football. It is the system I have played a majority of my fantasy football on over the years – and currently play on. Other setups are fine – I’ve worked with ESPN and NFL fantasy football teams in the past – but seeing as I have the most experience using this scoring system, I’ll stick with using their methods of scoring.
Wow, what a week! I was expecting a blowout game, but man was that ridiculous. It’s like the Bears weren’t even on the field! Great week to be a Packers fan, and even greater for anyone who also happens to own any Packers players on their fantasy team.
Pretty much everybody produced. Aaron Rodgers had those 6 touchdown passes before halftime. Eddie Lacy had 118 combined yards and a full-on textbook screen-play TD. Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb garnered a combined 224 yards and 3 TDs. Even the tight ends finally got involved, with 5 catches and 2 TDs among them. And don’t forget the defense; forcing three turnovers off Jay Cutler (one for a TD from Casey Hayward) and grabbing four sacks.
I could go on all day about the game, but it is a new week and it brings a new opponent: the Philadelphia Eagles.
They, too, are also coming off a major victory off of an underwhelming opponent (45-21 over the Panthers on Monday night), and should provide a stronger challenge and much more competitive game.
Who wins?
We’ll find out Sunday.
That’s not why you’re here anyway.
The better question for now is, who is going to come up big in the world of fantasy football?
Let’s take a look.
First up: quarterback.
