You’ll notice I’ve dropped the other two guys off the list. In a move I’ve taken way too long to get to, I’ve decided those two just aren’t worth discussing unless there is an injury to Lacy. He’s the only one receiving a somewhat-decent workload, so he’s the only one that has much hope of producing during any given week.
Even with a game where I see more emphasis being placed on the running game, I doubt anyone but Lacy gets that work. In fact, the only reason I see the Packers deciding to put any emphasis towards the running game is because of Lacy.
Not that the other guys are bad players, but Lacy is just on another level in his abilities compared to Starks or Harris, especially since becoming a more reliable and emphatic producer on third down and in the passing game. Now outside of injury, getting a quick rest and/or a blowout there’s no reason not to continue giving the RB snaps to Lacy.
I think Lacy’s continued emergence and the matchup here will give him plenty of chances to make plays, with him ending up having a strong game and possibly only his 2nd 100-yard rushing effort of the year. The first? These same Vikings.
Prediction: 120 rushing yards, 30 receiving yards, 2 Total TDs; 27 fantasy points
Verdict: Must-Start
