K – Mason Crosby

Last Week: 2/3 FG attempts (1 20-29 yards, 1 30-39 yards), 5 PATs; 11 fantasy points

From least productive position right back to high-end production. Whew, what a relief!

For the third straight game, fifth in the last sixth, and sixth in the last eight, Crosby garnered over 10 fantasy points. My bar for decent-to-good weekly expectations for a fantasy kicker sit at about seven to eight points, so this has been great work from the Packers kicker.

His last performance against the Vikings wasn’t grand (6 fantasy points), but that wasn’t his fault; the offense was too good at execution on that night, scoring TDs instead of settling for field goals.

Odds are that type of performance doesn’t happen again and Crosby gets at least one FG to go with some PATs. Then again, these Packers have been breaking the odds with their production the past couple weeks and in all their home games (at least 31 points scored).

Will that home dominance follow them? Probably not all of it; that level of production just isn’t sustainable over a long period of time. But in no way should they be expected to get slowed down too much.

Crosby should again have plenty of opportunities provided to him by the offense’s success and like I said, a couple of those TD drives may become FG attempts. Despite his miss last week, there’s nothing to worry about here.

Crosby is good to go, and ready to provide a good boost to fantasy teams everywhere yet again.

Prediction: 2 FGs (1 30-39 yards, 1 40-49 yards), 4 PATs; 11 fantasy points
Verdict: Must-Start (as far as kickers go)
