Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix – ‘the game-saver’
Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix won’t ever tackle Gronk high again – as he tweeted out after the game, feeling rather sore.
However, he did gain some confidence on that play in the end zone, swatting away a surefire touchdown from the hands of superstar tight end, Rob Gronkowski.
Drawing sticks all day to battle Gronk, Clinton-Dix drew that play and came out victorious. He single-handedly sealed the fate of the Patriots who could have had the go-ahead touchdown in the final three minutes, had Gronk converted.
Ha-Ha has been improving steadily all year long. He is now starting beside Morgan Burnett and Micah Hyde in the secondary, learning to finish tackles and playing smart, physical football. He’s a playmaker that the Packers have needed since Nick Collins.
He no longer sees himself a rookie – good news for the Packers heading into the final stretch of the season. They will need Clinton-Dix to continue making improvements if they are going to be able to battle the elite QBs in the league, come January.
The Packers look ahead to the Falcons on Monday Night, only one game ahead in the NFC North. They will need to continue their dominant stretch of games at home if they are to keep the momentum going from this incredible team win.
