TEs – Andrew Quarless, Richard Rodgers
Last Week:
Quarless – 3 catches, 52 receiving yards; 5.20 fantasy points
Rodgers – 0 catches, 0 receiving yards; 0.00 fantasy points
After a couple weeks of Richard Rodgers being the top producer here, Quarless stepped up and put in a decent outing last week while Rodgers did nothing receiving-wise.
Buffalo is the #3 team defending the tight end, so I wouldn’t bet on either doing too well here. But that aforementioned weakness against short passes could possibly mean one of the two puts up a line like Quarless’ from last week. If one does, the bet should be on Quarless.
Rodgers is the better blocker of the two and probably will be asked to mostly stick to that aspect of his game this week because of the Buffalo pass rush.
Personally, I doubt either has a fantasy-relevant impact. But if you’re desperate enough to need one of them, go with Quarless.
Predictions:
Quarless – 2 catches, 25 receiving yards; 2.50 fantasy points
Rodgers – 1 catch, 5 receiving yards; 0.50 fantasy points
Verdict: Emergency Start (Quarless); Bench (Rodgers)
