WRs – Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, Davante Adams

Last Week:
Nelson – 5 catches, 55 receiving yards; 5.50 fantasy points
Cobb – 7 catches, 96 receiving yards, 2 rush, 15 rush yards; 11.10 fantasy points
Adams – 1 catch, 6 receiving yards; 0.60 fantasy points

There were two main places people could toss legitimate blame towards after last week’s failings on offense. First would be Rodgers, who did plenty on his end to put up a pretty awful game. The second area — and the one I think deserves more criticism — is the receiving corps.

It wasn’t pretty for these guys. They got roughed up all day, couldn’t complete their routes as they usually would, and made a habit of letting the ball hit the ground (7 drops; most league-wide since 2008).

It was especially painful for Nelson, who dropped what could have been a 94-yard catch-&-run TD late in the game and put Green Bay at a much more likely spot to steal a win. I cannot see him having two straight bad games; he’s too talented for that.

Expect one of the best receivers the league has to offer to make of some for that putrid performance and attack the holes in the Buccaneers’ defense.

Randall Cobb also did not have a great game. He put up an okay fantasy line at the end, but it could have been so much better; a couple more catches could have meant a 100+ yard day, or maybe at least preventing that tipped INT. His working of underneath routes should be highly effective here.

The one I don’t expect to do much is Adams. He could — and if the offense fires on all cylinders, he probably will — but he’s been garnering just one catch a game for a few weeks so I wouldn’t feel comfortable betting on him in my bid for a fantasy championship.

Predictions:
Nelson – 7 catches, 90 receiving yards, 1 TD; 15.00 fantasy points
Cobb – 10 catches, 125 receiving yards; 12.50 fantasy points
Adams – 1 catches, 5 receiving yards; 0.50 fantasy points

Verdicts: Must-Start (Nelson/Cobb); Bench (Adams)
