4. Don Barclay (G/T)

Don Barclay is another player who missed the entire 2014 season, also due to a torn ACL. Barclay impressed in training camp and was considered by Mike McCarthy as a ‘sixth starter’ on the offensive line.

Thankfully, other than an injury to Bryan Bulaga at the start of the season, the five core players stayed healthy for the season and Barclay’s absence wasn’t exposed.

“If I can play two different positions, it will work out and help me out in the end,” Barclay said.

Barclay adds versatility to the offensive line; he can play all over the line. Should a player go down with an injury, which is to be expected in the NFL, then Barclay is exactly the type of player you need on a team who can step up and perform.

Barclay is a restricted free agent, so it will be interesting to see whether Ted Thompson brings him back. I think it could be crucial that he does, because he can add tremendous depth and quality to the offensive line, and could be play a big role in the Packers’ success in 2015.
