With the departure of DuJuan Harris, the Packers could be on the lookout for a third-string running back. Maybe it will be Rajion Neal, but maybe Thompson will look to find a young prospect late in the draft.

Zach Zenner of South Dakota State could be that man. Zenner would add the speed the Packers will miss from Harris. When he breaks into the open field, Zenner is tough to catch.

Zierlein praised Zenner in his NFL.com profile:

"“When evaluators look at small-school prospects, they want to see them dominate that level of competition and that is exactly what Zenner was able to do. Zenner is more fast than sudden and might be best-suited in a one-cut scheme. His production, size and speed will generate plenty of discussion in draft meetings.”"

While he wouldn’t see much playing time early on with Eddie Lacy and James Starks providing a solid 1-2 punch in the backfield, with some development he could feature on offense in the future.

In 2015, Zenner could be a special teams contributor and compete with Neal for the RB3 spot.
