For a while on Tuesday it looked as if the Green Bay Packers could lose both of their free agent cornerbacks, Davon House and Tramon Williams.

House joined the Jaguars and Williams had scheduled a visit with the Saints.

However, Williams left New Orleans without a contract, and the Saints have since signed former New England Patriots corner Brandon Browner.

With the potential move to the Saints having seemingly fallen through, are the Packers now in pole position for the veteran’s signature?

After losing the youth of House, the cornerback corps would be left worryingly thin should the experience of Williams depart Packers News also.

It appears the Packers may have caught a break, and are now very much in contention to bring him back.
