Not only did he lose favor with the Packers coaching staff and fans this past season, but he didn’t last long in free agency as the Packers let him walk.
Well, today we find out that he walked right into that place where all former Green Bay Packers walk … into the facilities of the Minnesota Vikings.
Back a year or two ago when Harris’s name was mentioned with Eddie Lacy and James Starks we couldn’t contain our enthusiasm with the thought of what he could bring to the team.
Harris was pretty good late in the 2012 season when he energized an all-but-dead running game and helped the Packers get to and win a playoff game.
In the eyes of head coach Mike McCarthy, he was the Packers starter heading into training camp in 2013 – even after the Packers had drafted Lacy and still had James Starks on board.
But that was before he blew out his knee in a preseason game and was lost for the season.
