1. Maxx Williams, Minnesota

The first thing that jumps out about Williams is his ability to create matchup problems for defenses in the passing game. The former Gopher recorded 51 receptions and 13 touchdowns as a two-year starter in college, and his athleticism is off the charts for the position.

Williams also has the size (6-4, 249) and tenacity to be an effective inline blocker, and only at age 20, Williams is a young prospect with plenty of upside.

The former Gopher is the ideal receiving tight end for the NFL–with a long frame, decent speed (4.78), and strong hands to make plays down the seam.

However, Williams still needs to improve his route running and technique as a blocker, but these are both areas he can work on as a pro.

Williams would certainly be an option for the Green Bay Packers at pick 30. The Packers could use a dynamic receiving threat at the tight end position and a guy that can stretch the field and open up things for the offense over the middle of the field.

However, with plenty of other teams ahead of the Packers also with a need at tight end, there’s a good chance Williams will be gone by the time the Packers are on the clock with their first pick.

The Packers will most likely wait to address the need at tight end anyway until later in the draft, so they can use their first pick to improve their defense.
