6. Tobin Rote

Tobin Rote could simply do it all for the Green Bay Packers. Not only was Rote a great threat through the air but also on the ground as well as he is one of the more notable running quarterbacks in Green Bay’s history. Although Rote did not have a very good record in Green Bay he played while the team was among the league worst in defense. During three of his seasons in Green Bay, Rote led the team in passing and rushing yards making him one of the few players in Packer history to do so.

Rote was a second round selection out of Rice and was able to be among the best passers in the league each season. He led the league in rushing yards for a quarterback multiple times and was regularly a top three passer in the league as well. He was a pro bowl player for the Packers in 1956 and is also a member of the Packers Hall of Fame. Rote threw for 11,535 passing yards and 89 touchdowns in his career as a Packer ranking him 5th all time in both categories.
