7. Aaron Kampman
For a few consecutive years, Kampman was by far the Packers top playmaker on defense. His 15.5-sack campaign during the 2006 season is still one of the best defensive performances in franchise history.
The 6-foot-4, 265-pound defensive end out of Iowa was one of the NFL’s top pass rushers for a three-season stretch. However, partly due to injury and partly due to the Packers switch to the 3-4 in 2009, Kampman’s career in Green Bay was cut short.
After a short stint in Jacksonville and then retiring early at age 32, Kampman’s career numbers still look impressive. Playing eight seasons in Green Bay (2002-2009), the scrappy defensive end amassed 458 tackles, 12 forced fumbles, and 54 sacks, ranking him fifth in franchise career sacks.
