Outside Linebacker (6)

Starters – Julius Peppers, Mike Neal
Backups – Nick Perry, Jayrone Elliott, Andy Mulumba, Adrian Hubbard
Cut – Jermauria Rasco, James Vaughters

The Packers are deep at outside linebacker, but they still need another impact player to emerge opposite Peppers with Matthews spending time at inside backer.

Either Neal or Perry will get the start in the season opener, but Elliott could make a push for a significant amount of playing time. He’s been relentless on the field and by far the Packers most consistent pass rusher during the preseason.

Mulumba and Hubbard have also flashed some ability off the edge and provide quality depth at the position.

Rasco and Vaughters just haven’t shown enough to get serious roster considerations. However, the Packers did experiment with Vaughters at inside linebacker some this past week, so he could be a guy they bring back on the practice squad to see if he’ll develop as a defender.
