It’s finally time, Green Bay Packers fans.

After a long offseason and a preseason that has brought us its annual unavoidable grief, the season is finally here.

The only thing left to be determined is who ends up on the final 53-man roster.

Who survives the 4:00 pm ET cuts deadline? Who doesn’t?

I have my ideas on that subject.

One quick note: the final numbers for my predictions will be 55 because of suspensions to Datone Jones (1 game) and Letroy Guion (3 games); they do not count against the roster until their suspensions have been completed. Andrew Quarless could also still be a possible suspendee due to his July 4 gun incident, but seeing as nothing has been handed down as of yet (though it still could; suspensions seem to take awhile to get handed down) it won’t affect the roster during this cuts period.

With that, let’s begin with the most important spot on the field: quarterback.
