James Jones: Rapport

Jones has a good rapport with Aaron Rodgers.

Prior to his being waived and picked up by the Oakland Raiders, Jones had a career year with the Packers, registering 14 touchdowns in 2012.

He has had some issues with drops in the past, but has always been able to pull his weight as a second or third receiver. Aaron Rodgers trusts Jones and they have built up a rapport for a number of years.

There is no reason to believe that Rodgers is anything other than stoked to see Jones back on the field.

While he may not have the speed to be the vertical threat that Jordy Nelson was (and no one is asking him to be …), he is capable and should still be on the same page as Aaron in scramble situations, which is what the newer receivers lack.

When the play breaks down, Rodgers will be looking for Cobb or Jones, nearly every time.
