K – Mason Crosby

Last Week: 1/1 FGs (1 30-39 yards), 4/4 PATs; 7.00 fantasy points

Crosby actually produced closest to my expectations; I was off by 2 points (1  for the distance of his FG, another for the number of XPs he kicked).

He was mightily effective in the few opportunities he had and wasted none of them.

This week could be a spot where that type of efficiency pays off for fantasy players.

With facing a tougher defense, the offense is much more likely to have more issues with finishing off drives; of course I hope that to not be the case, but Seattle’s group is impeccable even missing key players.

With drives potentially stalling sooner and more often, the chances we see more field goal attempts is higher. More attempts means more potential points for the kicker to account for.

This game likely ends in a close affair; it could very well be the leg of Crosby that either sends the Packers to 2-0 or is the last gasp before an unsatisfying 1-1 record.

I think Crosby will have himself a fine day, and as long as the blocking on the special teams stays intact he has more than earned the trust that he’ll hit his marks.

Week 2 Prediction: 3/3 FG (2 30-39 yards, 1 40-49 yards), 2 PATs; 12.00 Fantasy Points
Verdict: Start-Worthy
