Green Bay Packers: Packers cured of ‘Colinitis’
By Doug Rogalla
Colin Kaepernick had been a thorn in the Packers side for the past several years. Well after Sunday’s win, the Packers have certainly cured their bout of Colinitis.
If Kaepernick had his worst game as a pro last week, his 2nd worst game was yesterday.
Packers defense seemed to have Colin confused and contained much of the afternoon.
Kaepernick did run ten times for 57 yards and had a number of first downs, mostly in the 1st half. He also had a couple of big throws of 40 and 47 yards that accounted for more than half of his 160 passing yards. But most of the game, Colin was running for his life as the Packers sacked him six times (seemed like more).
During the game Clay Matthews was picked up shouting at Kaepernick: “You ain’t Russell Wilson, bro.” Then later, he also performed Kaepernick’s trademark kiss of the bicep after a sack in the third quarter.
Good team and satisfying win for the Packers defense.
