K – Mason Crosby
Last Week: 1/2 FG (31), 2/2 PATs; 5.00 fantasy points
It only took four weeks, but Crosby finally missed a kick.
The kick itself wasn’t exactly easy; he was on the left hash mark and had to kick it 44 yards, barely missing it on the left. It also had the added advantage of being right at the end of the half; because of that, the 49ers weren’t set to gain good field position off the miss, which helps lessen the potential damage of a missed kick.
He did make his other attempt, but with just one short field goal and a couple extra point kicks, it was not an overly productive day for his fantasy owners.
Don’t get too down on him though; he’s still worth trusting.
He still is attached to an offense led by the league’s top quarterback. He still is usually reliable, and can hit from just about any distance. His team is excellent at home, where this game is being played. And the opposing defense has enough talent that they could be expected to stall a drive or two, likely giving Crosby some chances.
I see him converting all those chances he gets this time, with a few extra points for good measure.
Week 5 Prediction: 3/3 FG (3 40-49 yards), 3 PATs; 15.00 fantasy Points
Verdict: Still Safe To Trust Him
