The Packers were able to hold the Panthers to a three and out and got the ball back with 6:21 remaining.
The Packers came out sputtering again. After a 20 yard pass to Randall Cobb, David Bakhtiari set the Packers back to 1st and 20 after a holding penalty.
Then came another brilliant play by James Jones when Aaron Rodgers heaved a desperation 4th and 14 pass in the direction of Jones who timed his leap perfectly and made the amazing 36 yard catch. (In my notes, I wrote before the play “going for it —- the game” and afterwards “amazing, wow grab by Jones.”
Another screen to Starks for 17 yards set up the Rodgers to Rodgers connection for a 3 yard touchdown. GB 29 – CAR 37.
There is 3:43 remaining. The Panthers have their hands team up anticipating the on-sides kick but the Packers kick deep and the touchback gives the Panthers the ball on the CAR20.
