RB – James StarksEddie Lacy

Last Game:
Starks – 15 carries, 42 rushing yards, 6 catches, 54 yards; 9.60 fantasy points
Lacy – Inactive Due To Injury

We got the shake-up some of us had been waiting for, seeing Eddie Lacy go from ineffective starter to inactive to put James Starks as the starter. It was deserved; Lacy had been stinking things up for weeks while Starks played pretty well from his backup role. It had the look of something that could provide the needed spark to finally get the offense going again.

Of course, it ended up just as bad as usual — if not worse. Starks averaged less than three yards per carry and his catch production came late on safe throws behind strong blocking.

Basically, any player could have produced what Starks provided.

Lacy could be back this week, but Starks should still be considered the starter.

The matchup is actually more decent than it may at first appear — Minnesota is ranked #28 in Run Defense DVOA — but I wouldn’t really trust either guy to make anything happen.

If you are stuck picking between the two, go with the expected starter.

But be sure to check around for some better options out there first.

Week 11 Predictions:
Starks – 55 rushing yards, 30 receiving yards; 8.50 fantasy points
Lacy – 30 rushing yards, 10 receiving yards; 4.00 fantasy points

Verdict: Low-Rung Starter (Starks), Don’t Expect Much (Lacy)
