Rodgers game was so big he knocked Perillo out of this article entirely.

Not only did he step up majorly across the game as the most consistent option for his quarterback, but he became the hero of the game (and possible savior of the season) by being the one to grab Aaron Rodgers’ Hail Mary bomb of a pass.

THIS is the type of game I had been thinking of when Green Bay first drafted Rodgers last season (minus the necessity for late-game theatrics).

He was talked up hugely about his hands and receiving ability, but we so often only have seen little bits and pieces despite him being the #1 tight end on the team all year even before Andrew Quarless went down with injury.

Now, I wouldn’t expect a repeat performance by any measure, but it is nice to see that this is at least in the realm of possibility every now and then.

If he can manage to act as the #2 or even #1 pass catching option again though, that would be great. At the least, I would like to see continued utilization of him in the red-zone, putting that big body and good hands to use in the most important area of the field some more.

With the other pass catching options on the roster leaving much to be desired, he seems like the best option to look at right now for not only seeing a decent amount off targets but actually catching them.

A touchdown shouldn’t be out of the question either.
