This Saturday kicks off an exciting week of college bowl games, and as Green Bay Packers fans, there are a few names out there we should begin paying attention to.
Whether you’re a college football enthusiast or just a fan of the NFL Draft, bowl week is the perfect time to get a sense of some of the top NFL prospects entering the draft this spring.
Today, I’d like to highlight a few to watch in the upcoming bowl games I believe could be available for Green Bay to select in the latter half of the first round.
On this list, I did not include defensive standouts, like Notre Dame’s Jaylon Smith, Ohio State’s Joey Bosa, or DeForest Buckner out of Oregon, because I believe these players will be selected in the first-15 picks of the draft and not within reach of the Packers first overall selection.
I also didn’t include players that could be an option for Green Bay in the first round but won’t play in a bowl game due to injury, like UCLA linebacker Myles Jack or TCU wide receiver Josh Doctson.
However, here are the seven prospects I feel will get serious consideration from Green Bay in round one this April, and players I believe are worth checking out this week.
