His numbers may not reflect it–only recording 17 sacks as a three-year starter–but Floyd has easily been one of the most gifted pass rushers in college football the past few seasons.

Floyd possesses all of the next-level attributes teams look for in a 3-4 outside rush backer. He has a quick first step, uses his length and hands well to shed blocks, and his relentless motor allows him to wreak havoc in the backfield.

Floyd’s 37 quarterback hurries since 2013 are among the leaders in the FBS in that time, and despite playing in the SEC, Floyd somehow continues to get overlooked when it comes to media coverage for the 2016 draft.

Scouts, however, won’t underestimate the Georgia product. Many regard him as a mid-first round talent, according to Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller, but given his fit is almost exclusively as a 3-4 outside linebacker, Floyd could drop further than his talents warrant.

He’d be a steal for the Packers near the end of the first round. Green Bay could always use another edge rusher with Matthews splitting time at inside linebacker, Julius Peppers turning 36 next season, and both Nick Perry and Mike Neal set to hit free agency.
