Selection: 1st Round (29th Overall)
Player/Pick Evaluation: A

One of the higher points of the 2015 season was the play of cornerback Damarious Randall as a rookie. Spending his time mostly at the safety position in college, many were unsure how Randall would transition not only into the NFL, but back into the cornerback position as well.

It is safe to say, that Randall surpassed all expectations this year, while playing a major role for the Packers defensively, down the stretch. He was named the NFL’s Rookie of the Month in November, recording 24 tackles, two interceptions, and recording five pass deflections.

While surpassing Casey Hayward on the depth chart this season, Randall looks to be a strong part of the Packers’ defensive future. He was able to record three interceptions in the regular season (one in the post season), while accumulating 51 tackles and 14 pass deflections total.

With surpassing every expectation many had for him this season as a late first round pick, the Packers easily earn the grade of an “A” with the selection of Randall.
