Selection: 2nd Round (62nd Overall)
Player/Pick Evaluation: B+

Not playing much college football during his days at Miami University (Ohio), spending a second round pick on Quinten Rollins was an intriguing one. The Packers needed to address the cornerback position, but spending your first two selections on the position may have raised some eyebrows, especially considering a player like Rollins whose potential and playing ability was raw.

Rollins quickly silenced the concerns by performing well in the preseason, which transitioned over into his respected regular season. He showed a tremendous amount of athleticism and physical talent, and could be an intriguing name to lead this defense with some experience in the future.

You could consider Rollins the difference in the Packers Week 5 win over the St. Louis Rams, as he had two interceptions which can be classified as the highlight of his season. Although he will need to take a major step next season, Rollins has the ability to help solidify the Packers’ secondary into becoming elite.
