#5. The Secondary

The 2016 NFL season is setting up for the Packers to quickly catapult to the top of secondary units.

Damarious Randall and Quinten Rollins exceeded all rookie expectations. Both players were called upon multiple times during the season.

One could argue the rookie bookends could be one of the primary reasons the Packers were able to make a slight run in the playoffs.

They were a huge part of a defense that had to keep the Packers in numerous games throughout the season.

If Sam Shields can stay healthy, he along with his cast could be a very lockdown and potentially game changing unit next season.

Shields is one of the fastest players in the NFL, allowing him to close gaps even when the coverage is not perfect.

Casey Hayward seemed to get better as the season progressed.

In somewhat of a disappointing start to the season, Hayward failed to reach the high expectations.

Hayward will be a free agent, but one that probably won’t carry a huge price tag.
