*Each Writer’s Pick for the Packers . . .

49. The Packers would be lucky to get a shot at drafting Loyd. He’s a unique talent coming out of college, possessing both the athleticism and explosiveness to be a really effective edge rusher in the NFL. He’s built to play outside linebacker in a 3-4 defense, and would be a great weapon for Capers to utilize in blitz packages. Floyd could make an immediate impact as a rotational pass rusher as a rookie, and then line up opposite Clay Matthews once Julius Peppers retires. Green Bay really needs to start thinking about the future of the most important position on their defense. — Dan. Outside Linebacker. Georgia. Leonard Floyd. 27. player

Outside Linebacker. Eastern Kentucky. Noah Spence. 27. player. 49.  I refuse to think the Packers need to go offense in the first round and focus on areas where they actually need more talent. Noah Spence has a somewhat checkered past but has really shaped up since being kicked off of Ohio State in 2013. Spence could fill what looks to be an instant need at OLB and would give the Packers a reliable pass rushing threat and would be even more dangerous if Julius Peppers returns. This move would also allow Clay Matthews to remain in the middle of the defense where he belongs. — Coalter

Hunter Henry. 27. player. 49.  Richard Rodgers had statistically one of the best seasons a Packers tight end has ever achieved. With that said, his playmaking abilities are lacking. Hunter Henry could be a huge weapon for Aaron Rodgers and be a dangerous duo with Richard Rodgers once inside the red zone. Pack go wooo pig sooie at #27. — Josh. Tight End. Arkansas
