DE B.J. Raji

The re-signing of Letroy Guion could mean the Packers have made their choice. Is B.J. Raji on his way out of town?

Raji returned from a torn bicep which wiped out his 2014 season, and he played pretty well. The 29-year-old flew out of the gates and dominated early in the season—putting in a strong performance against Seattle in Week 2—but fell away as the season went on. It was solid season for Raji.

It was good enough to earn him a contract higher than the one-year, $1.75 million deal he signed last offseason. But are the Packers willing to pay much more than that? With Mike Pennel poised to increase his role on the defensive line, it’s possible they’re willing to move on from the veteran.

Per Rob Demovsky of ESPN, the Packers will be hoping to sign Raji to a similar contract:

"“Indications are that the Packers would entertain re-signing Raji if he’s willing to come back for similar money. However, Raji may be seeking a significantly higher-priced deal. He will turn 30 this summer and is coming off his best season in three years, so he likely knows this is his last chance at a sizeable contract.”"

If Raji is after a bigger deal, he will have to find it somewhere else.
