Free agency is upon us. Here’s 10 targets for the Green Bay Packers.

The 2016 offseason is in full swing, Green Bay Packers fans.

Our favorite team may not have come away with the ultimate goal of a Super Bowl victory in 2015, but a new year starts here.

As with all teams – including the Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos – the Packers have areas on their team that need to be improved upon for them to have a shot at the Lombardi Trophy this coming year.

As we all know by now, GM Ted Thompson tends to stay out of free agency for the most part, sticking with additions through the draft and undrafted players to build his team. Still, every once in awhile, he will step out and make a key move here and there. That’s how the Packers have ended up with players like Charles Woodson and Julius Peppers.

The odds of a move in this area feel (and are) low, but it isn’t impossible. What it would take is an excellent combination of positional need, price and circumstance. That perfect combination is hard to find, but there are some players out there who could potentially fit into that distinct category.

I have some ideas in mind on the matter.

A quick caveat before starting, however. There will be some positional overlap in terms of certain players mentioned. In those instances, I don’t believe all the options mentioned should be signed; I do believe they should be at least considered for one reason or another though.

Let’s start big. Really big.
