Thirty Sundays to NFL football: 30 reasons why we love the Green Bay Packers
Jermichael Finley
In six seasons as a tight end for the Green Bay Packers, Jermichael Finley drew the ire of many fans who beat him up for the number of drops he incurred (especially in big games).
But he was bigger than all the hate and all the silly things he seemed to do on social media.
One thing was for certain – his talent level was through the roof. At the time he was injured in what would be his final game and season in 2013, Finley had already caught 25 of the 34 passes thrown to him through six games.
He was off to the best start of his career and the injury turned out to be a big misfortune for Aaron Rodgers and the Packers.
He caught 223 passes during his career in Green Bay for 2,785 yards and 20 touchdowns.
His presence over the middle was intimidating to defenders and a huge benefit for Rodgers.
It should be noted that the tight end position hasn’t been the same since Finley left. Had he stuck around another couple of seasons, there is no telling what he could have accomplished.
