Sterling Sharpe

If there is one Packers player, other than Jerry Kramer, who could be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, it’s Sterling Sharpe.

For eight years, Sharpe dominated the league playing with Brett Favre for only a couple of seasons. During that time, Favre found Sharpe continuously in the offense and one can only wonder what may have been possible had his career not been shortened by injury.

Though the Packers went on to dominate the conference in the mid-1990s and to participate in two Super Bowls – winning one – we can only imagine what the Packers may have done if Sharpe could have stuck around for at least a couple of more years.

His ability to get open, to possess the ball and to gain significant yards after the catch was beyond reproach.

Though his insistence on not talking to the local media was well-known at the time, he was certainly a guy with plenty to say.

He was one of the Packers greats … and for that, he makes our list.
