Five players the Packers should target in the upcoming NFL Draft
By Josh McPeak
The 2016 NFL Draft is fast approaching. Ted Thompson has used this tool to form virtually the entire active roster of the Green Bay Packers.
Thompson has been, for the most part, solid in his draft selections. He’s slugged a few home runs along the way coupled with a few picks that failed to get off of the runway.
One might say the NFL Draft is every Packers’ fan favorite time of the offseason. Outside of contract extensions to the already homegrown talent, it’s nearly the only activity the green and gold takes part in during this time of year.
Ted Thompson is about as dormant as most hibernating animals this time of year when it comes to free agency.

Green Bay could go a number of ways throughout the draft this year.
Top priorities could be to add a solid ILB in order to allow Clay Matthews to move back to his original OLB position.
This would allow Matthews to rush the passer on nearly every down.
Many have a playmaking TE near the top of the Packers’ wish list.
Richard Rodgers proved to be a viable red zone target, but coupled with a TE that could separate from defenders could be dangerous for opposing defenses.
We won’t know any of these answers until seven rounds are in the book.
Thompson surprised many with his Damarious Randall and Quinten Rollins picks just a year ago.
If the freshman campaign holds up, he could have very well solidified the secondary for at least the next three seasons.
With no further ado here are five players the Green Bay Packers should target in the upcoming draft.
