Corey Linsley

After an impressive rookie season, Corey Linsley was the unquestioned starter at center entering 2015. Finally, Aaron Rodgers had the continuity he so badly wanted at one of the most important positions. Linsley ranked as the 10th center on Pro Football Focus, earning his highest grade in run blocking.

Linsley has formed good chemistry with No. 12, which is so important to avoid unforced errors and mistimed snaps. So many teams are in need of a center, and the Packers found a diamond in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. Teams like Atlanta threw games away with poor communication between the center and quarterback, but this wasn’t an issue for Linsley and Rodgers.

It was a solid year for Linsley, but at times his play wasn’t at the standard of his rookie campaign. Linsley was charged with seven sacks on the year, behind only Don Barclay. Health could be a reason for this, as he was nursing an ankle injury that kept him out of three games.

Linsley was backed up well by JC Tretter during his absence, but is the unquestioned starter moving forward after another solid season at center.
