The success of a defense begins with the defensive line. Let’s take a look back at the Green Bay Packers’ front three in 2015.

In recent seasons, the Green Bay Packers’ defense has been the Achilles heel of the team being propped up by the sensational play by Aaron Rodgers and the offense. Not in 2015. The defense carried the team through some tough times and kept them in games. It all starts up front with the defensive line.

B.J. Raji returned from a torn bicep that wiped out his 2014 season. Letroy Guion was brought back to Green Bay despite his off-the-field issues. Datone Jones was entering the all important third season in the NFL, and Mike Daniels was on the verge of stardom. And as a whole, the line played well.

The Packers still have their issues stopping the run, but it has improved from what it was two years ago. Let’s take a look back at each player’s 2015 season and look ahead to an important offseason.

Guion has been re-signed to a three-year deal, but Raji’s status is uncertain. Mike Pennel has been suspended for the first four games of the 2016 season.
