player. 49.
There’s a good chance Hooper will be gone by the time the Packers are on the clock at the end of the second round. He has good size at 6-4, 254 pounds, and possesses a lot of athleticism and speed (4.72) for his position. He also has some of the strongest hands in this draft class.

Considering how thin this tight end class is, Hooper could go much earlier than the 57th overall pick, but for this draft, things worked out in Green Bay’s favor. The former Stanford tight end would be a great receiving weapon to add to their offense. He can stretch the seam and make tough contested catches over the middle of the field.

He still needs to develop as a blocker, but overall, he would bring a legitimate receiving threat to add to the Packers tight end group. I also considered selecting Pitt wide receiver Tyler Boyd or UCLA running back Paul Perkins here.
. Tight End. Stanford. Austin Hooper. 57
