Green Bay Packers: Ten ways Packers can have perfect offseason
10. Get healthy
Injuries plagued the Packers in 2015. It’s an unavoidable part of football and every team suffers injuries across the roster, but the Packers were particularly hit on offense.
Jordy Nelson’s torn ACL was major setback in preseason, with his season ending before it had even begun. Ty Montgomery soon followed after suffering an ankle injury in Week 6. Montgomery tried numerous times to come back, but was eventually placed on injured reserve and required surgery.
Randall Cobb played with a shoulder injury early in the year and then suffered a punctured lung in the divisional round loss to Arizona. Davante Adams was nursing an ankle injury for much of the year and sprained his knee during the playoffs.
Depth was exposed on the offensive line with injuries tearing through the starting five. David Bakhtiari was forced to miss time with an ankle injury, and Bryan Bulaga had knee issues early in the year. Corey Linsley was sidelined with an ankle injury too, and guards T.J. Lang and Josh Sitton fought through pain with Lang requiring shoulder surgery after the season.
Nelson is expected to be ready to go for OTAs with no limitations during training camp, but Montgomery might be sidelined until camp. The Packers need everyone to return at full health.
