P Jon Ryan, Seattle Seahawks

Tim Masthay is a Packers’ cut candidate after another tough season. While the offense struggled, Masthay was unable to bail the unit out enough times, too often surrendering good field position to the opposition,

In all likelihood, Green Bay will add some players at the position in camp and open a battle for the starting job much like we saw last year. But if the Packers decide to move on from Masthay this offseason, a player to keep an eye on is Jon Ryan of the Seahawks.

Packers fans will remember Ryan most for the fake field goal in the NFC Championship Game two years ago that led to a Seattle touchdown, beginning the dramatic turnaround. But it would be nice to get one back on the Seahawks by taking away their talented punter.

Ryan finished 2015 with an average of 45.7 yards per punt, No. 15 in the league. His 73-yard punt was the second longest of any punt in the league last term.

The Seahawks will want to bring him back in 2016, but if he hits the market on March 9, the Packers should definitely have some interest.
