TE Jared Cook, Los Angeles Rams

There has been a lot of focus on tight ends this offseason and one that peaks my interest is Jared Cook.

While he may not be as attractive as Ladarius Green or Dwayne Allen or drafting Hunter Henry, but he would be just as good for what the Packers need and would come at a lower cost than most of the bigger named tight ends and we would save the team’s first round pick.

Cook is a replica of Jermichael Finley.

They both have similar body types and athletic abilities (Cook is slightly more athletic).

They are also the same when it comes to flaws, which would be drops.

While Finley had his share of drops, we also have been desperate to find a tight end that can separate defenders and run the seam of the field.

Cook will be turning 29 by the start of the 2016 season, so he has more than enough gas left in his tank to be a featured tight end in the Packers’ system.

Paired with Richard Rodgers, they could be a dynamic threat with Cook excelling in the open field and Rodgers excelling in the red zone.
