Green Bay Packers: Five free agents who could make an impact
ILB Zach Brown, Tennessee Titans
For whatever reason, Zach Brown doesn’t get as much respect as he deserves at his position.
While the talent of the team that Brown played on wasn’t great by any means, Brown did his part at the ILB position.
As stated with Daryl Smith, Brown is a sideline to sideline player who can also line up and play coverage.
Brown is terrific athlete (4.44, 40) and can run with most players he lines up against.
While Brown hasn’t matched his terrific rookie season (68 tackles, 5.5 sacks, 3 INTs, 2 TDs), he’s still done pretty well, considering. With the arrival of Dick Lebeau, Brown saw his role turn into a coverage linebacker first which reflected on his stat line.
Unlike Daryl Smith, Brown is only 26 years old and has lots of football left in his career.
It’s really difficult to say what type of market Brown will have, as any news on him has been relatively quiet.
Regardless, Brown would fill a need that the Packers desperately need filled.
