Which defensive linemen should the Green Bay Packers look at in the 2016 NFL Draft?

Success in the National Football League begins up front. For the Green Bay Packers, adding another talented defensive lineman could be the difference maker Dom Capers’ defense needs. Who should the Packers consider in this spring’s draft?

The defensive line is looking in a much healthier position than it did a couple of years back. Mike Daniels has emerged as a dominant force on one side, but he could do with another big-time lineman to stand alongside him. Letroy Guion and B.J. Raji were solid options in 2015. Mike Pennel is a young talent, but he will sit out of the first four games in 2016 with a suspension.

Guion was re-signed to a three-year, $11.25 million deal but Raji’s future is uncertain. Will he walk in free agency? That question will be answered in the coming weeks. If Raji leaves, the Packers will almost certainly be on the lookout for more depth.

This is a good draft to need defensive linemen. There is a deep class at the position that should provide excellent value well beyond the first round. Will the Packers take advantage and pickup a defensive lineman at some point? Here’s five names to consider.
