Kentrell Brothers, Missouri

Kentrell Brothers is far from an outstanding athlete, but don’t let that fool you. He is a talented linebacker who would make sense for the Packers on day two.

Brothers has drawn comparisons to the Colts’ D’Qwell Jackson, a player who makes up for his lack of top-level athleticism by becoming a tackling machine. He has the instincts and toughness to become a talented player at the NFL level, according to Brady Lunt of NFL Mocks:

"“To say he’s been productive would be an understatement. Brothers is constantly around the ball, hustling on every play, and wrapping up on each tackle. He’s not afraid of delivering the big-hit, often attempting to punch the football loose.”"

If the Packers don’t turn to the inside linebacker position in the first round — which knowing Ted Thompson’s history makes it a true possibility — Brothers is a name to look out for in the second or third round. With his toughness, physicality and instincts, he could become a reliable piece at the heart of the Green Bay defense.

He’s the kind of player Thompson likes and would help shore up the run defense, a problem area for the Packers in recent years.
