Tyler Ervin, San Jose State

If you want speed in the backfield, Tyler Ervin can help. Ervin ran a 4.41 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine, second fastest among running backs behind only Keith Marshall out of Georgia.

Ervin is a smart runner and has great athleticism. NFL.com draft analyst Lance Zierlein believes his thin frame could be an issue immediately in the NFL, limiting him to the role of a complementary back:

"“Ervin is a long-legged, linear runner with the vision and demeanor to be a first down runner, but the thin- frame and poor play strength that will force him into becoming a change of pace running back who will need to make his mark in open spaces when given his opportunities.”"

The Packers have plenty of returners on the roster with Ty Montgomery, Jeff Janis, Randall Cobb and Micah Hyde, but Ervin would throw his name into the hat. He piled up 2,374 return yards and three touchdowns, which could give him another role on the roster.

There are a number of options for the Packers in the middle rounds of the draft should they need a replacement for Starks. Who would you like to see Green Bay target?
