Editor’s note: With the 2016 NFL Draft soon upon us, I thought it may be of interest to readers here at Lombardiave.com to take a look at this post produced a few weeks ago. This is a look at the 27th selection in the NFL Draft and many of the players who have been selected at this position the past few years. It’s interesting to note just how many successful players have been selected at #27. Check it out and enjoy if you haven’t read it before — and if you have, enjoy it once more.

The Green Bay Packers are slated to pick 27th in April’s 2016 NFL Draft, so we decided to do something easy and take a look back at the past decade of all players selected 27th in past drafts to see what type of player the Packers can expect to get.

While it’s an apples to oranges comparison, it is fun to take a step back and see who has been selected in past NFL drafts and to take a look at their NFL experiences.

This in no way is going to be a projection of what the Packers will get in a player this year at #27 (or wherever they end of picking, depending on trades and such). But it will at least show us Packers fans that there are still really good players available at the end of the first round.

In fact, you may be shocked by some of the players selected over the past decade and what their success rate has been in the NFL.

If we take a look at this list, there is a high probability that the Packers could land a player who will contribute immediately and should help this team toward success in 2016.

So, take a jump ahead and check out the players selected over the past 10 years at the #27 spot and hope that Ted Thompson can find players of similar talent.
