Tight end

Best free agency fit: Jared Cook is the best remaining tight end on the market, and the Packers were interested enough to bring him in for a visit. So far, there’s no news which indicates they might not have been impressed.

Cook has the speed and athleticism to get open downfield, but drops have been an issue throughout his career. Still, he would be upgrade on Andrew Quarless and could be a solid complementary piece to Richard Rodgers.

Other free agency options: There aren’t any names the Packers should be interested in. Owen Daniels and Scott Chandler are the only two who could offer short-term help.

Beft draft fit: Hunter Henry is the premier tight end in this year’s draft and would be a perfect fit in Green Bay. Selecting him would likely require a first-round pick by the Packers, unless they are able to trade down and grab him early on day two.

Henry has exciting receiving ability and would also be an upgrade over Rodgers in run blocking. There’s a lot to like about Henry’s game.

Other draft options: Jerell Adams might be the best pass-catching tight end in the class, and Nick Vannett is arguably the most complete option outside of Henry. Both players would bring qualities to Green Bay.
