JOHNNIE GRAY (SAFETY)

This undrafted member of the Packers Hall of Fame was one of the team’s most ferocious hitters of all time at the free safety position, but Gray was more than just a hitter.

Unlike a vast majority of defenders in today’s game, the 5-11, 185-pound enforcer knew how to wrap up when tackling an oncoming opponent.

Gray also performed as a punt returner and was annually overlooked when Pro Bowl selections were announced, mostly because he played for a small market team that struggled to win more than eight games during his years wearing the green and gold from 1975 through 1983.
